Course Hours
Registration begins at 8:00 am with complimentary coffee and Danish. The seminar begins at 8:30am and concludes at 12:45pm.

Continuing Education Credit
This educational offering has been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) and approved for 4 clock hours and 4 participant hours.

Course Director:
Jan Walent, RN
has worked in the long-term-care industry since 1992. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse. Jan has experience as a RN Charge Nurse, MDS Coordinator, Assistant Director of Nursing, Assisted Living Administrator, Staff Development Coordinator, and a Regional Human Resource Director.

Jan was responsible for training and education of numerous employees from multiple campuses as a Regional Human Resource Director. During her career she has enjoyed working as a Staff Development Coordinator for Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Jan is certified as a CPR Instructor. She has completed the requirements needed for the DPW Medication Administration Instructor.

Jan is a member of her local Bedford County Gardner’s Club. She is a member of the Association for Personal Care Administrators.
