Medical Director
Talissa has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2013 and also serves as a Hospice of the Valley medical director. She is board-certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. She received her bachelor’s in Biology from Baylor University and her doctorate in Medicine from Royal College of Surgeons in in Dublin, Ireland. She did her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and her Geriatrics Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine. Talissa was born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Nurse Practitioner
Misty joined Geriatric Solutions in 2019, after 20 years as an advanced practice registered nurse and four years in family practice and internal medicine. Misty has worked for many hospitals and private practices and has broad experience, from conducting research for Johns Hopkins University to providing medical/dental care in remote villages in Mexico. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Misty is a Phoenix native who enjoys traveling, being outdoors and spending time with her rescue pets.

Nurse Practitioner
Stella joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022. She graduated from the University of Phoenix and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Stella has been a nurse for over a decade and also has been a certified nursing assistant and emergency medical technician. Stella served in the Air Force as an aerospace medical technician. She is fluent in Spanish, having grown up in Mexico before settling in the United States in 2003. She is an animal lover and an loyal White Dove Thrift Shoppe customer.

Nurse Practitioner
Emily has been with Hospice of the Valley since 2011, providing care in our inpatient units and supporting our agency with after-hours triage home visits. She joined Geriatric Solutions in 2021, focusing on managing chronic illness and helping patients avoid unnecessary medications, tests and hospitalizations. Emily has a bachelor’s in Registered Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University. As a family nurse practitioner, she treats patients across the age spectrum, but specializes in hospice and palliative care of adults patients. Her interests include writing, painting and doing home renovation projects. Combined, Emily and her husband have 11 adult children and 12 grandchildren.

Nurse Practitioner
Jodi joined Geriatric Solutions in 2021, after 15 years in various clinical roles at Hospice of the Valley. She was a registered nurse for 21 years before becoming a nurse practitioner in 2020. She is board-certified in adult/gerontology and primary care. She was an active scholar in the Arizona Area Health Education Centers Program and Rural Health Professions Program, and continues to serve as a mentor. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Arizona Nurse Practitioners Council and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Jodi is an Arizona State University graduate and has four children.

Nurse Practitioner
Linda has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2014. She has been a nurse practitioner since 1995 and is certified by the American Nurse Association. She is credentialed in acute care adult/geriatrics. Linda has worked in multiple fields, including hospitals, clinics, prison medicine, home-based practice, skilled nursing and pediatrics, both as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She received her master’s in Nursing from Adelphi University in New York. Linda was born in the Bronx, right next to Yankee Stadium.

Nurse Practitioner
Carina joined Geriatric Solutions in 2019, after practicing internal medicine in a private practice in the West Valley. She attended University of Phoenix and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She has over 20 years of healthcare experience, having worked in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, home health, as well as hospice and palliative care. She is passionate about providing individualized care to the geriatric population. Carina is married and has two daughters.

Nurse Practitioner
Carolyn joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022, shortly after joining Hospice of the Valley in 2021 as an After Hours visit nurse. She was a registered nurse for over eight years in a hospital setting before becoming a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and a certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence nurse. Originally from Georgia, Carolyn enjoys country-dancing with her soon-to-be husband, writing novels and reading.

Jessy joined Geriatric Solutions in early 2021. A certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Arizona and her bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University. Her clinical history, dating back to 2007, includes hospice, pediatric emergency, couplet care, forensics and sleep medicine. Jessy is married with three children and three dogs. She enjoys spending her free time being active with her family.

Physician Assistant
Jessica has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2020. She has been in practice since 2003, with specialized experience in rheumatology and internal medicine. She received her master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University. Born in Long Beach, California, Jessica has three children and loves to hike and read.

Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner
Tracey joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Arizona State University. She is board-certified in family medicine and previously worked as a registered nurse for 12 years in disaster-relief medicine and intensive care. Tracey continues to volunteer with nongovernmental organizations as a private consultant to develop international disaster-relief policies and procedures. Tracey is a member of Sigma Theta Thau, American Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Medical Director
Jamie joined Geriatric Solutions in 2022. She is a board-certified physician with 10 years’ experience in family medicine, palliative care and hospice care. She volunteers as a clinical faculty member for the School of Medicine at Mayo Clinic. She is a graduate from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her residency at University of Maryland Medical Center. She enjoys reading, hiking and fishing.

Nurse Practitioner
Samantha has been with Geriatric Solutions since 2018 and is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She also is adjunct faculty at University of Arizona’s College of Nursing, her undergraduate alma mater. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. Her broad clinical experience includes critical care, pediatrics, primary care and geriatrics. She has a fun, full household with her husband, four children, a dog and a cat.
